Ralph Lauren Home llaborates with Burleigh

For the first time since it was founded in 1851, Burleigh is featuring another designer’s original patterns on their pottery. The designer in question is Ralph Lauren Home, who have devised three prints for the range of tableware. “Peony” is a rich textural pattern reminiscent of vintage batik cloths, while “Garden Vine” creeps across the teacups, plates and bowls in a swirling floral. The third option is the starry “Midnight Sky”, which looks to RRL bandanas for inspiration. Set against classic place settings - including dinner plates, teapots, a sugar pot and a tankard jug - the range is available in indigo or black.

The English brand is the only remaining potter in the world to use tissue transfer printing on their work, a labour-intensive process pioneered in England which involves hand-rubbing the print onto unglazed pottery using tissue paper. The collaboration brings together the tradition and heritage of Burleigh with the modern spirit of Ralph Lauren, for a winning collection to decorate any table setting.
