Faulty parts will be replaced free of charge.- by Chris Hook
Honda has recalled one of its lawnmowers over fears leaking fuel could cause the mower to explode into flames.
The problem mower is the Honda HRU Buffalo GXV160 Powered Walk Behind Lawn Mower MY2018, which was sold across Australia from September last year until February.
According to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission recall notice, "The float chamber may not have been installed correctly on the carburettor body".
"This may result in leakage of fuel during operation, storage or transportation of the mower ... (and) could cause a fire, resulting in injury and/or property damage," it said.
Customers are asked to contact the Honda dealer from which the mower was originally purchased and the faulty parts will be replaced free of charge.
